1. Selection of compensation wire
The compensation wire must be properly selected according to the type of thermocouple used and the occasion. For example, the k-type couple should be selected for the k-even compensation conductor, depending on the application, select the operating temperature range. Typical kx operating temperatures range from -20 to 100°C, with a wide range of -25 to 200°C. The common level error is ±2.5°C and the precision level is ±1.5°C.
Contact connection
Keep the two contacts of the thermocouple terminal as close as possible, keeping the temperature of the two contacts as uniform as possible. Connect to the terminal of the instrument as closely as possible. Where the instrument cabinet has a fan, make sure that the contact does not allow the fan to blow directly to the contact.
3. Use length
Because the signal of the thermocouple is very low, it is micro-volt. If the distance used is too long, the attenuation of the signal and the interference of strong electricity in the environment can sufficiently distort the signal of the thermocouple, resulting in inaccurate measurement and control of the temperature. When the control is severe, temperature fluctuations will occur.
According to our experience, it is usually better to use a thermocouple to compensate the length of the wire within 15 meters. If it is over 15 meters, it is recommended to use a temperature transmitter to transmit the signal. The temperature transmitter converts the corresponding potential value of the temperature into a direct current transmission, which has strong anti-interference.
4. Cabling
Compensation wiring must be kept away from power lines and sources of interference. In places where you can't avoid crossing, use crossover as much as possible. Don't be parallel.
5. Shield compensation wire
In order to improve the interference resistance of the thermocouple connecting wire, shielded compensating wires may be used. For sites with many sources of on-site interference, the effect is better. However, the shielding layer must be strictly grounded, otherwise the shielding layer does not play the role of shielding, but enhances the interference. .
