Greenhouse Gas Analytical Development of Gas Chromatograph for Subtropical Ecosystem Accepted Acceptance

[Chinese instrument network instrument research and development] On September 6th, experts from Wuhan Life Science Large Instrument Regional Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences organized an acceptance of the "greenhouse gas analysis gas chromatographic function expansion" project undertaken by the Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The project through the transformation of the current Agilent 7890A greenhouse gas analysis gas chromatograph gas system, the increase of TCD detectors, and the use of self-developed anaerobic tanks, realized the expansion of the detection target components, established the methane, carbon dioxide Simultaneous analysis with nitrous oxide, simultaneous analysis of methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, ethylene, and acetylene gas mixtures, analysis of hydrogen gas, simultaneous analysis of oxygen and nitrogen, and four analysis methods, which extend the service life of the converter and save the use cost.
The modified gas chromatograph is the biological nitrogen fixation rate and its affecting factors in typical forest ecosystems of southwestern China, the study of gas in farmland carbon-reduction and abatement systems, the study of Dongting Lake wetland gas discharge, and the microbiology of nosz populations in different paddy soils under flooding conditions. The topics such as the response mechanism to nitrous oxide gas provide good technical support.
The instrument function development project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was established to improve the technological innovation capability and service level of technical support personnel at the public technical service center of the institute. The Subtropical Institute of Ecology recorded 1 case per year from 2011 to 2016. Up to now, 5 items have been completed. Through the implementation of these projects, the innovation capability of the technical support personnel of the subtropical ecological institute has been improved, the function of some equipment has been expanded, and better technical support has been provided for research projects undertaken by the Institute.
