DESCRIPTION
The 2SK Series Two-Stage Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps are designed to operate efficiently like two sets of SK series water ring vacuum pumps. Due to the limitations of SK series vacuum pumps, which only achieve a maximum vacuum of -700 mmHg, China developed the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump in the 1980s to meet the need for high vacuum and large pumping speed under high vacuum conditions.

FEATURES
1. The SK and 2SK series water ring vacuum pumps can handle both ordinary gases and condensable gases (such as water vapor). Due to their isothermal compression feature, they are suitable for flammable and explosive gases. When made from anti-corrosion materials, they can also be used for corrosive gases.

2. The 2YK series liquid ring vacuum pumps offer higher vacuum levels and better adaptability. Different types of gases can be pumped using appropriate working media, making them applicable in a wider range of situations.

3. These pumps run smoothly with low noise and energy consumption. They are 30% more energy-efficient compared to water jet and water vapor jet pumps.

APPLICATIONS
This pump can be applied in vacuum drying, vacuum degassing, vacuum concentration, vacuum evaporation, and vacuum impregnation processes in industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, food, medicine, textiles, papermaking, and electronics. It can be combined with Roots Vacuum Pumps and atmospheric jet pumps to create a vacuum system that achieves high vacuum, high efficiency, and low power consumption.

Regular Selection for Water/Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump
1. Based on the vacuum value:
(1) If the pump is operated for a long time with an inlet pressure between 1.3×10⁴~1×10⁵ Pa (100~760 Torr), choose the SK series water ring vacuum pump.
(2) If the pump is operated for a long time with an inlet pressure between 5×10³~1.3×10⁴ Pa (40~100 Torr), choose the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump.
(3) If the pump is operated for a long time with an inlet pressure between 1×10³~1.3×10⁴ Pa (8~100 Torr), choose the 2YK series liquid ring vacuum pump.

2. Working Media:
There are four principles to choose working media (i.e., ring liquids):
(1) Lower saturated steam pressure.
(2) Lower viscosity.
(3) Stable physical and chemical properties; no chemical reaction with the pumped gas; no corrosion to the pump; no environmental pollution.
(4) Economy.
If water is selected as the working medium, the best supply water temperature should be lower than or equal to 15°C, and the highest should not exceed 40°C. When transformer oil or other low-viscosity, low-saturated vapor pressure industrial oils are used, the general supply temperature should not exceed 40°C, and the working media temperature inside the pump chamber should not exceed 60°C. When a liquid with a lower boiling point is selected under special circumstances, a cooling unit must be equipped to ensure the maximum temperature is 30°C–50°C, below the boiling point. For a closed circulation system of working media, a liquid storage unit and cooler must be equipped, and a gas-liquid separator must be installed at the outlet. A mechanical seal should be used for the dynamic seal of the shaft.

3. Choose the dynamic seal of the shaft:
Choose a packing seal in general occasions; choose a mechanical seal when the pump is used in a no-leak occasion.

4. Choose the material of the part that the gas passed:
(1) For non-anti-corrosion pumps, the shaft is made of 45# steel or 40Cr, and other parts are made of cast iron or brass.
(2) For anti-corrosion pumps, the parts that the gas passed should be made of stainless steel 304 or 306, or other materials suitable for the respective corrosive gas, or the parts should be coated with anti-corrosion coatings.

5. The motor should be selected based on pumping pressure.
If the pump is used for vacuuming while transferring gas, the pressure of the pump outlet exceeds standard atmospheric pressure.
When the outlet pressure exceeds 0.15 MPa, a special double-stage liquid ring compressor should be chosen instead of a vacuum pump modified. The power of the equipped motor should be significantly increased, and a special gas-liquid separator and auto-drain unit should be equipped.
When the outlet pressure is below 0.15 MPa, the vacuum pump can be modified as a compressor. The power of the equipped motor should be increased appropriately.

6. Composition methods of the water ring vacuum pump system:
An open circulation system should be used if the working liquid in the outlet does not need to be circulated or is partially circulated.
A closed circulation system should be used if the working liquid in the outlet must be circulated.

Air Preheaters (APH)

An air preheater (APH) is a device used to heat air, commonly used in industrial boilers, thermal power plants, and other thermal energy facilities. APH improves the thermal efficiency of the boiler by transferring heat from the flue gas to the air entering the boiler through heat exchange with it.


APH usually consists of a Heat Exchanger with a number of parallel pipes inside the exchanger through which smoke and air flow to allow heat exchange. In APH, the smoke flows on the outside of the heat exchanger and the air flows on the inside so that the heat between the smoke and the air can be transferred through the pipe walls.
