2-Alarm house fire in Round Lake Park, 12-13-16
The Round Lake Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at a residential home located at 344 Biros Lane in Round Lake Park. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames spreading throughout the attic, roof, and parts of the second floor, as well as the rear of the structure.
Scott Peterson, a local witness, provided a firsthand account: "When the crews arrived, there was intense fire visible through the entire attic and roof, along with significant flames on the second floor and the back of the house."
Multiple photos from the scene capture the intensity of the blaze. One image shows the house fully engulfed in flames, while others depict emergency vehicles working late into the night. The fire is believed to have started in the early evening, prompting a swift response from multiple fire units.
Residents in the area were advised to remain cautious and keep windows closed due to smoke and potential hazards. No injuries have been reported at this time, but investigators are currently on-site to determine the cause of the fire.
