Bedford Park Fire Department apparatus

This post comes from Chi-Town Fire Photos: I had the chance to capture some photos of the Bedford Park Fire Department's apparatus. Here’s an updated list of their station assignments, including their brand-new mini pumper/squad. I was told that the new squad will be staffed when the department is at full capacity, and it won’t function as a jump company with any fire apparatus. Instead, it will respond to medical calls and all fire incidents. Here’s what’s currently stationed at each location: **Station 1 – 6820 S Archer Road, Bedford Park, Illinois** – Quint 704 – Ambulance 701 – Snorkel 705 (Not photographed) – Squad 702 – Engine 711 (Spare) – Engine 707 (Spare) **Station 2 – 5101 W 67th Street, Bedford Park, Illinois** – Engine 710 – Ambulance 703 – Battalion 7 **Station 3 – 6799 W 73rd Street, Bedford Park, Illinois** – Tower 709 – Squad 708 The addition of the new mini pumper/squad shows the department is evolving to meet the needs of their community, balancing both emergency medical services and traditional firefighting duties. It’s interesting to see how they’re integrating these resources for maximum efficiency. The photos also highlight the variety of equipment in use, from classic engines to modern rescue units. You can check out the images below for a closer look at the apparatus. Each photo gives a great sense of the department’s current fleet and how they're equipped to handle different types of emergencies.
