Diaphragm valves are available in manual or air actuated versions and are specially designed for hygienic and aseptic processes in the pharmaceutical industry. This valve is ideal for controlling and shut-off of fluids.
The diaphragm seals the valve body and seat, ensuring no contact with the environment. This makes it suitable for aseptic processes. When the valve is closed, the pressure seal that holds up the diaphragm moves towards the sealing face of the valve body. As the pressure plate moves, the diaphragm bends, forcing it toward the center seat area to shut off the flow path. The design prevents the diaphragm from being pressed against the valve body. The valve can be operated manually or via pneumatic actuation, and can also be controlled using a control top or solenoid valve.
It is widely applied to many fields, such as beer, beverage, dairy food, fruit juice, pharmacy, biological etc.
