What should you watch out for when selecting and using a spiral grader?

The spiral classifier is a grading device commonly used in grinding circuits. Its models are divided into high- grade , low-lying and sunken. At present, the low-lying type has been eliminated, the sorghum type is used for the classification of coarse-ground products, and the submerged type is used for the classification of fine-grinding pulp. When selecting the spiral classifier, in addition to calculating the production capacity to meet the production requirements, it should also be noted that the direction of rotation of the spiral and the steering of the ball mill should be matched with each other. The matching method is shown in Figure 19. Pay attention to the following points when using the spiral classifier: 1) Lift the screw when parking for a long time, and then gradually lower it after driving. 2) In order to prevent the large ore discharged from the ball mill from entering the classifier and accumulating in the tank to catch the spiral or accelerate the abrasion of the spiral blade, the sieve should be installed on the discharge end of the mill (there is a spiral piece in the sieve, and the large piece is made up of the sieve port) Launched without entering the spiral classifier). 3) Pay attention to observe whether the spiral piece falls off or not, and whether the spiral rotation is stable. If the leaves fall off, repair them in time to prevent the spiral from being worn out. If the spiral runs differently, the lower shaft bearing may have been worn out. 4) Pay attention to observe the changes in the overflow mass fraction and the amount of sand returned by the classifier so that it can be adjusted in time.
