The situation quickly escalated, with the alarm being upgraded to a Code 4 and later to a MABAS Box Alarm after flames were discovered in the attic. Fortunately, the fire was confined to the attic area, preventing it from spreading further.
A wide range of emergency units responded to the scene, including Rolling Meadows Engines 15 and 16, Ambulances 15 and 16, Battalion 15, and department chiefs. Additional support came from Palatine Engine 84, Tower 84, Squad 85, Battalion 8, and two chief officers. Arlington Heights sent Tower 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Ambulance 3, and a chief officer.
