The Norwood Park Fire Protection District is now featured in Division 20. This department operates from a single station located at 7447 W. Lawrence Avenue in Harwood Heights. Their jurisdiction includes the communities of Harwood Heights, Norridge, and the unincorporated area of Norwood Park Township within Cook County. The station is well-equipped with three Medtec ambulances, two Pierce engines, a Pierce tower ladder, a command vehicle, a utility pickup, and the MABAS Division 20 Haz Mat Unit #749.
The department is preparing for the arrival of a new Pierce Impel engine in April, which will replace their current Engine 101—a 1996 Pierce Saber model. This upgrade reflects the ongoing commitment to modernizing equipment and ensuring efficient emergency response.
