New truck for Downers Grove
It's great to see our new ladder truck finally arrive today, Friday. The department is currently in the process of installing all the necessary equipment and conducting training sessions. Once everything is set up, we expect the truck to be fully operational by mid-October. This impressive unit came with a price tag of $840,000 and was purchased from Kevin Lueder at Fire Apparatus & Supply Team. It’s built on a Spartan Sirius chassis and features a powerful 2,000-GPM pump, 300 gallons of water capacity, and a 100-foot tower ladder. We're excited about the capabilities this new vehicle brings to our team.
