Banshi Mine is the key project of Jilin Province during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” with a total investment of 510 million yuan and a production capacity of 900,000 tons. As a shallow coal seam, it is designed as a main inclined shaft and digs downwards. On a 25-degree slope, it is necessary to dig 250 meters. Conventional roadheader, the parameter stipulates that its maximum climbing ability is 16 degrees. Liang Jianyi, dean of the Shenyang Research Institute, said at the scene that rock tunneling has always been a worldwide problem, especially the development of large slopes.
