The Alfa Laval FCM One Gas high pressure gas supply system will provide the required high gas pressure for many dual fuel engines. For example, the gas supply system is equipped with a diffusion-connected heat exchanger that can handle low temperatures and pressures up to 650 bar, exceeding the pressure of 300 bar required by Mann diesel and turbo ME-GI engines. The heat exchanger has automatic start, stop and wash capabilities to automatically control gas pressure to withstand any load to reduce energy consumption.

According to reports, this small size high thermal efficiency printed circuit heat exchanger that powers the high pressure gas supply system LNG evaporator will save space and increase flexibility.

The first engines supporting the high-pressure gas supply system have just been put into operation. The reliability of high pressure gas supply systems will be a key factor in the beginning of the use of high pressure dual fuel engines and systems related to ship operators.

The Alfa Laval FCM One Gas high pressure gas supply system will be on display at the Hamburg International Maritime Exhibition (SMM) on September 6-9.
