Rural food dry storage machinery popularization project

As a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Xu Tao keeps in mind the social responsibilities that he shoulders for participating in politics, actively participates in and even organizes various investigations and research activities, and conscientiously writes proposals and recommendations centering on major issues such as the industrial economic development in China and the province. She carefully prepared three proposals before attending the conference this year. Among them, related to her own engineering disciplines, one is the "Proposal on Promoting the Rapid Development of China's Self-Branded Vehicles"; and the "Proposal on Implementing the Popularization of Rural Grain Drying Storage Machinery" as the key proposal is After more than a year of investigation and research and careful preparation, Xu Tao and his research team proposed a proposal that would greatly reduce China’s grain storage losses, benefit both the country and the people, and be highly operational. Xu Tao told reporters that in the past few years, she and the school's professor of agricultural machinery have been studying the design of grain drying machinery and product development issues, but the object of application is the state-owned grain warehouse. In 2007, she went to Jilin village to inspect. When she went to a farmer's home, she found that the yard was full of mildewed corn. The reasons for this are due to poor storage conditions, poor ventilation, and leakage of rain. Her investigation into this type of situation found that this is a universal issue that deserves high attention. According to data provided by authoritative departments, the loss of rural grain storage in China is serious and the post-production loss is as high as 10%. At present, China's state-owned grain warehouse can only dry and store 10% of the country's total grain, and 90% of the grain is only dried and stored in rural areas. The main cause of post-production losses is that farmers do not have the necessary mechanical dry storage facilities, such as small dryers and simple storage silos. The developed countries immediately dried and stored the grain immediately after harvest, and the loss after food production was less than 1%.
Xu Tao’s proposal is to achieve rural villages in China with “dryers in villages and granaries for households” in 10 years, so that the loss of total food production in China will decrease from about 10% to about 2%, and rural income will not increase in arable land. Increased by 10% to 20%. In the next 10 years, more than 350,000 sets of dryers will be produced in the country, and the development of the grain dry storage machinery manufacturing industry will also play a huge role.
