Full range of new energy automotive innovative solutions and localized products into Bosch booth highlights

The Bosch Exhibition at the 2009 Shanghai International Auto Show is divided into two major regions.

In the global innovation exhibition area, Bosch will highlight its global technological achievements in the fields of gasoline technology, diesel technology, hybrid power and electric vehicle technology. In the field of new energy automotive technology, Bosch has accumulated more than 30 years of extensive experience and has strong expertise in batteries, electric drives, braking systems, engine management systems and transmission control. In addition, the company also offers a rich product line series that can be used for parallel hybrid systems and hybrid hybrid systems, including high-powered drive motors, power electronics and DC voltage converters.

Mr. Peng Deyuan revealed: “Bosch will launch safe, long-lasting lithium-ion batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles in China to better serve our customers in China.” In 2008, Bosch established a company with Samsung. Joint venture to jointly develop high power density lithium-ion batteries.

In the localization solution exhibition area, Bosch displayed the latest achievements in local R&D and production. This is Bosch's first demonstration of its local production start/stop system. Since the system was introduced in 2008, Bosch has applied it to a number of Chinese host companies. The company expects that the major components of the system will achieve more than 70% of local production by 2010.

In addition, Bosch also exhibited for the first time a new common rail system, CRS 1.3, which optimizes fuel injection, allows it to burn more fully, and is easily upgraded to meet the National IV emission standards. The system's high-pressure pump is the first high-pressure pump product jointly developed by Bosch and Weifu and produced by Weifu. Weifu and Bosch established a joint venture in 2004 to cooperate in clean diesel technology. With the CRS 1.3 common-rail injection system and the ever-increasing localization rate, Bosch will be able to meet the ever-increasing cost requirements of its customers and even expand its products into the low-end light commercial vehicle sector.
