Evanston box alarm – apartment fire at 2137 W. Howard Street.
A serious fire broke out in an apartment building on the west side of Chicago, sending thick smoke into the sky and prompting a quick response from local emergency services. Firefighters arrived on the scene within minutes, working to contain the flames and ensure the safety of residents. A Pierce ladder truck was seen at the location, helping with rescue efforts and ventilation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but no casualties have been reported so far. Residents in the area were evacuated temporarily, and the neighborhood remains on alert as crews continue to monitor the situation.
