This just came in from Dylan Konchan. It seems like there was quite an incident in Tinley Park last night. According to what he shared, there was an EMS Box Alarm at the intersection of 167th Street and Beverly Avenue due to a deck collapse. From what I understand, multiple people got hurt. The emergency response included ambulances from Trace Ambulance, as well as teams from Orland, Oak Forest, and Thornton.
I’ve attached some photos taken by Dylan Konchan that give you a visual of the situation. You can see the Orland Fire Protection District and Tinley Park Fire Department responding, along with Trace Ambulance personnel on the scene.
For those who want more details, WGNTV has put together a short article with some video footage [here](link).
From what’s been reported so far, over a dozen people were injured during a birthday party at a home on Beverly Avenue around 9:15 PM on Saturday. Apparently, there were approximately 35 guests on the deck when it detached from the house and collapsed. Thankfully, Tinley Park Fire Department mentioned that while there were injuries, including cuts and bruises, no one was trapped under the debris. Neighbors described hearing screams and seeing a chaotic scene unfold.
It’s always tough to hear about incidents like this, especially when they happen at social gatherings. I hope everyone involved gets the care they need soon. If you know anyone involved or have further updates, feel free to share!
