The 2013 Cleantech Open Accelerator started with over 300 companies nationwide, competing across eight regions since April. In October, 22 regional semi-finalists were chosen, including HJ3 and Grannus, LLC from Tucson, AZ. Both were celebrated at the Global Forum in Silicon Valley. Grannus won the Sustainability award in the Rocky Mountain Regional Finals and was the second runner-up in the National Sustainability category. Their nitrogen fertilizer innovation offers a 30% cost advantage and a 3-fold sustainability edge.

The Cleantech Open is the world’s largest cleantech accelerator, dedicated to identifying, funding, and supporting entrepreneurs tackling today’s energy, environmental, and economic challenges.
