Juhua first hydrochloric acid synthesis furnace automatic ignition device
On January 18th, the automatic ignition system of the hydrochloric acid synthesis furnace at Juhua Power Plant began operating smoothly after being officially launched. This marks a significant milestone as it is the first time this technology has been successfully applied in China, showcasing the company's leading position in instrument control technology nationwide.
Previously, the ignition process of the hydrochloric acid furnace was entirely manual, which involved complex procedures, long ignition times, high labor intensity for operators, and posed certain safety risks. To address these challenges, the technical team aimed to introduce modern automatic control systems into the process. In 2007, this issue was identified as a key research project by the Electrochemical Factory’s Control Center.
The control center’s technical staff focused on improving the self-controlled valves, ignition control modules, and flame monitoring systems of the synthesis furnace. Through hundreds of trials, testing, and modifications, they gathered valuable firsthand data. After developing an innovative auto-ignition device, the ignition time was reduced from 1 hour and 40 minutes to just 50 minutes. This not only simplified the operation but also significantly enhanced safety and reliability.
In September 2007, the system moved from computer simulation to real-world production trials and was eventually put into official operation. Today, the automatic ignition system completely replaces the previous manual method. Additionally, technical personnel have added automatic protection procedures for abnormal conditions, ensuring greater safety and operational stability. This advancement reflects the company's commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in industrial automation.
