Beiqi's production in the first eight months of this year ranks among the top three in the domestic auto group

Since the establishment of the Beijing Automobile Manufacturing Plant in 1958, which began producing the "Jinggangshan" brand car, the development of the local automotive sector has steadily accelerated. The first million vehicles took 35 years to achieve, the second million required eight years, and the third million was completed in just three years. In the first eight months of this year alone, Beijing Automotive Group produced 339,200 units — a figure equivalent to the total output of 2003. In October, the first batch of Mercedes-Benz cars from the Beijing Jeep Benz sedan project is expected to officially roll off the production line.
